I’m not sure why we decided on a trip to Sri Lanka. We’d originally planned to go in 2021 but Covid put paid to that and then after last year’s adventure in Kenya and Zanzibar, the idea of a country where we could do safari and beaches was appealing. I was somewhat anxious about flying over a war zone but gave myself a good talking to about perspective etc and here we are at Heathrow enjoying a full English, donning support socks and ready to go…

Also, what’s with so many people sleeping in these cubby holes? I’ve not noticed this before
